Sad news that broke on Sunday afternoon is that gospel singer Peter Kaberere is no more. Posted on the official groove awards  the statement said :
Its with heavy hearts that we confirm that our brother ‘Kabz’ Antony Peter Kaberere has gone home to be with the Lord. Gone too soon..pray for his family.
Kaberere was a gospel artist & head of logistics at Mo Sound LTD who host the Annual  gospel awards Groove Awards.  Kaberere started his gospel music in Zaidi ya Mziki (JoggC) and later on went solo. He released songs such as Kiburi , Natamani with Eunice Njeri , Just A Way with Mr Vee and recently Mwanake.
Kaberere was later to release his new video Mitego this April which was directed by J Blessing.  Kaberere was electrocuted at his car wash while washing his car on Sunday afternoon.
He leaves an expectant wife known as “Njesh Wa Kabbz” to many in the gospel fraternity and a son.
Please pray for the family.
Various gospel artists in Kenya sent messages of condolences to the family and others posting on social media including Rev Kathy Kiuna and Daddy Owen who wrote..
@RevKathyKiuna: Oh kaberere. What a gift from God. I personally loved him. Rest well until we meet again. To God be the glory
@daddyowenmusic: R.I.P KABERERE RIP Kabz..
The singer was marred to Njesh Kahura. They got married on October 31, 2009.
